The Gum Wall
PegLateral crawled over the pink and red hill overlooking the gum wall that protected the House Rabbit compound of Oral. Two fuzzy things were there. One was wearing green and yellow armor; another fuzzball, who wore red and yellow with a brown helix down the side of his kit, was nervous.
“Stay frosty, Marathon, Mountain Don’t is here and Ace’s Fuzzbutts will keep watch,” said the green-and-yellow-clad fuzzball to the other.
The foul fuzzy things on the wall were standing guard over the two incisors that made up their sentry area.
PegLateral hooted briefly to the awaiting wind. The Frefairy set off the Invisilighns and the sound of tearing gum and scraping bone filled the air.
“Whoa!” yelled Ace from his perch as he watched Marathon on the other tooth move smartly away.
“We will drill this decay!” yelled PegLateral from his lead worm. The gap between the two teeth was filled with an armada of tooth worms.
Stillmouth, his eyes black-on-black, yelled, “We will dispatch this fuzz from our clean clean jaw and build! Build from all the Enamel!”
The red gore of the fuzz was smeared under the thrashing bodies of the toothworm armada. A green and yellow mech was in pieces with a completely mangled non-ace Ace inside.
The things of House Rabbit tried to flee and their jumpjets smashed into awaiting worm mouths as the fairy surprise was total: no one expected a gap here in the jaw.
The rout was complete. The rabbits and their machines were destroyed. The red flood under their feet had very little purple in it.
PegLateral descended from his toothworm and freed it from service. He spied the House Rabbit command center and asked his chieftains to join him. There were only a few more hares to pluck before the Frefairy legend would come true.
