The Invisilighn

PegLateral flitted down the vault stairs. His Frefairy guard looked warily at the large ALGN icons carved into the stone doors. Stillmouth asked his leader, “Where are we, PegLateral?”

The dark-eyed fairy replied, “This is the hiding place of House Molar’s straighteners. The good ortho, Dr. Noah, maintained such for us. I see he was well rewarded for his work.”

Dr. Noah’s body lay slumped over the control panel for the doors. PegLateral picked up Noah’s suicide note, and tossed it in the trash without reading it. The dark fairy pushed the doctor’s corpse onto the floor with a hard shove. He started to work on opening the door.

After pressing his wand into the controls, the heavy stone scraped slowly open and the group entered the vault.

PegLateral flitted between each line of huge plastic walls. The Frefairy gawked at the massive structures. Stillmouth pointed at what appeared to be barbed wire and pots of adhesives. “This does not look invisible at all.”

His leader laughed a bit, “That was the old way. The pure way of wire and glue that the orthos started their good work with. We will use the stealth technologies they developed in secret. The Invisilighn will move teeth without being detected by prying rabbity eyes.”

Stillmouth finally asked, “Holy Molar! This is great power, PegLateral. Maybe too much for any one fairy?”

PegLateral laughed and his eyes darkened further, “Too much power? For a single fairy? Yes. But for all fairies? There is NO LIMIT!”

The dark fairy then said, “I give you male dental care. What has never been considered. A cosmetic gap!”

Stillmouth asked in horror, “Split teeth that are well spaced?!” Some Frefairy swore at the notion and many looked away towards the exit.

PegLateral stared at his guard, and he looked at each fairy one after the other deeply into their pink-on-pink eyes.

“He is the Cleaner we were promised. Where he drills, we follow,” said the group. Their black-on-black eyes shined as they started to unpack the invisible aligners.
