Calypso's couch, deep in the haze. On the TV: Jackie Brown. The beat where the constant-stoner (Bridget Fonda) shrugs that the weed never robbed her ambition — because her ambition was to get high and watch TV. OZZY laughs, slow and dreamy — and then the laugh curdles as it lands.

OZZY (hazy, to the screen, to himself) — ...huh. (a beat) ...that's me. I did it. I have achieved my dreams. (the smile fading, not sure why)

CALYPSO (curling closer, another slow puff) — Mm. Isn't it nice, Nobody? Nothing to want. Nothing to chase.

And then — through the window, up from the neon street below — a voice. Singing. Getting closer. Calling a name.

THE CHOICE

CALYPSO (at the door, gentle, the trap's last plea) — Nobody, don't. Stay hazy. There's nothing out there but pain.

OZZY (clearer now, all the way back) — ...No. There's my brother out there. And he came all this way. For me. (the whole show in one line) ...Somebody came for Nobody.

He pushes past her to the door. Below, TELLY sees the door open. The two odysseys — the man lost, the brother looking — become one.

TELLY — Come DOWN, big brother—!

OZZY — I'm comin', Telly. I'm comin' home.

Button. OZZY gone, the door swinging. CALYPSO alone in the empty room, and she doesn't rage — she just aches, and lets him. "...nobody ever leaves Calypso's." (a sad little smile) "...well. Almost nobody." Blackout. The hero has his name back, his brother's arm, and a heading: home. The porch light, far off, steadies a notch.
