OZZY's house — his parents' place, the estate he's supposed to come home to. Word got out the parents are gone, and the word spread like fire: the legend's off the map, the house is open, and the prettiest girl in town is inside it alone. So they came. All of them. It is a full-blown rager — solo cups, a keg, someone already in the pool, the good furniture becoming a stage. The Odyssey's suitors, devouring the estate, in letterman jackets.
PENNY moves through it like a captain on a sinking ship she refuses to abandon — rescuing a framed photo off a wall here, catching a lamp there. TELLY, in his own living room, is trying to make people leave and being lifted off his feet by the crowd like a cork on the tide.
TELLY (shouting, unheard) — This is MY house! You can't — that's my mom's — GET OFF THE TABLE—
The doors bang open. TONY enters like he owns it — jaw, shoulders, a letterman jacket two sizes too proud — with RICKY already three steps ahead of him, working the room, pointing back at his man.
RICKY — Make a HOLE! Man of the hour comin' through! You heard the legend skipped town? (hops on the counter) Well, every throne needs a king, and I got him RIGHT HERE!
TONY (surveying the party, then Penny, like both are already his) — Relax, everybody. I'm here now. (to Penny, a wink) Miss me, gorgeous?
PENNY (not even looking up, saving a vase) — I don't miss what I never wanted.
RICKY (clutching chest) — OHHH. Tony, she's PLAYIN' hard to get, that's a GREEN light—
TONY — They always are, Ricky. (cracks his knuckles, grins at the room) Hit it.
