Omega Two — Coda: The Wedding

Bingo stood at the altar. He was a bit nervous and, well, there was GennedPig to eat after the ceremony. He looked over at his groomsfolks. Bob, of course, was best man. Carlito was looking sharp in his tux collar. It was always really hard to get good formal wear for a polar bear. Stu, Boo, and even the Merle managed to shine up well.

The corgi looked out at the attendees and spotted old friends and new. Buck and his wife Brandy, a strange human couple with a tendency to shout “YAHOO!” at every available moment, were actually sitting criss-cross applesauce and being very good humans.

Bingo saw three very attractive men of increasing age sat together in order. Their blond and white manes were being perfectly brushed by a 25 foot semi-human dog. Bingo didn’t know what to make of these dog/people hybrids, but he was happy to have people at the wedding. His momma said she’d make as many GennedPigs as they’d need for the reception.

The small dog then saw a man relaxing. It looked like he’d been running forever. He had two puppies with him and had told people, “I would never hurt a puppy. It’s all fiction. Including the fictional deaths, ok?” So, Bingo thought that guy was pretty cool.

Then, the march started and the bride was coming down the aisle.

Salote, Bingo’s momma and Bob’s wife, led the bride. The two were glorious in white.

Bingo’s bride turned to him. The corgi lifted the veil and exposed View’s face to him. His breath was taken away.

They both turned to BMO, the robot, who they had asked to officiate. BMO’s face panel showed a smile, then she started the ceremony off.

As the robot talked, the multiple fires kept the meal to come slowly roasting. Bingo and View’s tails wagged as they watched BMO carefully. The coda fades away.
